The Citizens’ Voice Project has invited applications from interested registered Pakistani organizations (e.g. community-based organizations, non-governmental organizations, professional and business associations, research institutes and think-tanks) identifying innovative models for strengthening citizens’ voice and improving public accountability.

In the sixteenth cycle, the project intends to make up to 5 grants worth $ 0.5 million approximately, in the thematic areas of:

  • Citizens’ Actions for Effective and Participatory Local Governments in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
  • Citizens’ Voice for Strengthening Legislative Governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The project will be implemented in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This solicitation, however, does not cover AJK and GB regions.
This project is in support of the US Government’s commitment to strengthen democracy in Pakistan.
Recognizing the fundamental need to build positive relationships and foster effective engagement between government and citizens, USAID’s Citizens’ Voice Project has launched its sixteenth grants cycle inviting applications to strengthen citizens’ voice and public accountability. The aim of this eight year, $ 45 million project is to improve engagement between citizens of Pakistan and the government on priority project-supported initiatives to advance good governance objectives.
