USAID enables media briefing on electoral reforms

On May 26 and May 31, 2016, USAID Citizens’ Voice Project partner organizations organized media briefings in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. These briefings were held in 03 districts of Balochistan (Ziarat, Killa Abdullah and Pishin) and 01 district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Swabi); and were attended by 28 male journalists in Balochistan, and 14 male and 02 female journalists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The media briefings were arranged to highlight the commitments and position of different political parties on electoral reforms, and share district level findings of the household survey on electoral reforms. During the briefings, the charter of demands on electoral reforms, developed by District Electoral Reforms Group (DERG) members in consultation with relevant stakeholders, was also shared.
